Wicked Woods is an outdoor festival environment, and long days in the sun, dancing, dehydration, uneven terrain, smoke, dust, alcohol, and substance use can all increase the risk of a medical emergency. Knowing when to get help can make a serious difference.
Please seek medical support immediately if you notice someone who is:
Unconscious, unresponsive, or difficult to wake
Having trouble breathing, breathing very slowly, or not breathing normally
Experiencing chest pain, severe pain, or sudden weakness
Having a seizure or convulsion
Severely confused, disoriented, agitated, or unable to communicate clearly
Fainting, collapsing, or unable to stand or walk safely
Showing signs of heat illness, including extreme weakness, dizziness, confusion, hot skin, heavy sweating, stopped sweating, vomiting, or loss of consciousness
Showing signs of a possible overdose or drug poisoning, including slow or no breathing, blue or grey lips or fingertips, gurgling or snoring sounds, cold or clammy skin, or being unable to wake up
Experiencing a serious allergic reaction, including swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat; difficulty breathing; widespread hives; or sudden collapse
Bleeding heavily or experiencing a serious injury, fall, head injury, or suspected broken bone
Acting in a way that makes you concerned for their immediate safety or well-being

To support a safe, respectful, and enjoyable festival environment, Wicked Woods maintains a list of prohibited items that are not permitted on the festival grounds.
All guests, crew, volunteers, artists, vendors, and contractors may be subject to security screening upon entry and throughout the event.
Unauthorized, illegal, or potentially hazardous items may be confiscated by Security or Public Safety personnel. Items may also be denied entry if they are determined to create a safety risk, disrupt the festival experience, or interfere with emergency operations.
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:
Weapons of any kind Firearms, ammunition, knives, or replica weapons
Fireworks, flares, explosives, or pyrotechnics Controlled or illegal substances
Excessive amounts of alcohol
Glass containers, bottles, or jars
Pets or animals, with the exception of certified service animals
Unauthorized drones or aerial devices
Unauthorized recording, filming, or professional photography equipment
Laser pointers or laser devices
Open flame devices, candles, tiki torches, or unauthorized fire equipment
Propane fire pits, campfires, charcoal BBQs, or other unauthorized flame-producing devices
Large sound systems or amplified audio equipment not approved by festival operations
Generators not authorized by festival operations
Hazardous materials, chemicals, fuels, or pressurized gas cylinders
Items intended for sale, promotion, or distribution without festival approval
Offensive, threatening, or discriminatory signage, clothing, or materials
Any item that may be considered harmful, disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate by Security, Public Safety, or festival management
Security reserves the right to make final decisions regarding prohibited items and may refuse entry, remove items from site, or escalate concerns to Public Safety or law enforcement when required.
If you are unsure whether an item is permitted, please review the Wicked Woods Code of Conduct before arriving on site or contact the festival team in advance.

Fire Safety & Emergency Response
Open flames of any kind are prohibited throughout the festival site and campgrounds. Conditions can become extremely dry during the summer months, and provincial fire restrictions may be in effect before and during the event.
Wicked Woods has a dedicated Fire & Emergency Response team on site. In the event of a fire or emergency, call the Wicked Woods SOS line (778 949 1010) immediately or notify the nearest staff member, volunteer, or security team member.

Fire Prevention Guidelines
Ensure any propane cylinders brought to site are in good working condition and within their certified service life.
Do not leave vehicles idling on grass or other dry vegetation.
Turn off and safely store any heat-generating devices when not in use.
Keep all heat sources well away from tents, canopies, vehicles, and other combustible materials.

Candles or open-flame lanterns
Fireworks, sparklers, or pyrotechnics
Fire poi, fire hoops, or any fire performance equipment (unless you are a contracted performance artists for this years programming)

Our Sanctuary team provides non-judgmental emotional support, grounding assistance, and a peaceful environment where guests can rest, reset, and feel supported. When needed, Sanctuary can also help connect guests with medical, harm reduction, or public safety teams.

Wicked Woods Outreach Services are part of our continued commitment to community care, harm reduction, and proactive support throughout the festival site.
Our Outreach team operates as a mobile support service, moving through campgrounds, gathering areas, pathways, and key festival zones to provide assistance where it is needed most.
Outreach helps create a visible, approachable, and compassionate presence for guests, crew, and volunteers who may need support, information, or connection to additional resources.

Support for guests who may feel overwhelmed, distressed, lost, or vulnerable
Connecting individuals with Medical, Sanctuary, Security, or other Public Safety resources

Outreach is not limited to one location. Team members may be seen moving throughout the festival grounds and are available to help connect guests with the appropriate support based on the situation.

Their responsibilities include monitoring site conditions, identifying potential hazards, supporting incident response, coordinating between departments, and assisting with guest, crew, volunteer, and artist safety concerns.

An emergency is any situation that requires immediate support from Medical, Security, Fire/Rescue, Harm Reduction, Sanctuary, or Public Safety.

Violence, threats, aggressive behaviour, or an immediate safety concern
A missing person or someone in distress

What Should Be Reported Through REES?
REES is available for anonymous, secure, and survivor-centered reporting. REES should be used for serious concerns that do not require an immediate emergency response, but still need to be documented, reviewed, or addressed by the appropriate team.
REES may be used to report concerns such as:
Sexual misconduct
Harassment Discrimination
Bullying
Abuse
Boundary violations
Unsafe or inappropriate conduct
Concerns involving guests, crew, volunteers, contractors, artists, or community members
REES helps reduce barriers to reporting by allowing individuals to share information in a secure and accessible way, including the option to report anonymously.
It also provides access to support resources for those impacted by harm.
Emergency Reporting vs. Anonymous Reporting
Use emergency reporting when something is happening now and requires an immediate on-site response.
Use REES when the concern is serious, sensitive, or needs to be documented, but there is no immediate danger requiring emergency support.
If there is an immediate threat to your safety or the safety of someone else, please do not use REES as your first step. Call the SOS Emergency Line, report through the Wicked Woods app, scan the QR code at your nearest Rally Point, or speak with a crew member so our on-site team can respond right away.
Both reporting pathways are important. Emergency reporting allows our teams to respond in real time, while REES removes barrier to reporting safety concerns and supports accountability, care, and safer community practices before, during, and after the festival.

REES supports individuals who may have experienced or witnessed incidents such as sexual misconduct, harassment, bullying, discrimination, abuse, or other forms of harm. The platform provides a confidential and accessible way for people to document their experience, explore available resources, and choose if, when, and how they would like to report.

As an outdoor music festival located in a natural environment, Wicked Woods takes place on uneven terrain, forested areas, gravel roads, hills, grass, and rustic campground spaces. While the landscape is part of what makes the festival so special, we recognize that it can also create challenges for guests with mobility needs, disabilities, medical conditions, sensory sensitivities, or other accessibility considerations.
Our team is committed to working with guests wherever possible to support their festival experience. This may include accessible camping options, accessible washroom access, support with site navigation, information about terrain and distances, and coordination with our Guest Services, Public Safety, Medical, Sanctuary, and Harm Reduction teams when additional support is needed.
