We are searching for visionary artists to help transform the festival into an immersive, interactive world of creativity. From large-scale murals to glowing installations, live painting, and gallery exhibitions, this is your chance to leave your mark on the Woods.

The Aurora Gallery is a curated exhibition space celebrating visual artists across all disciplines—painting, photography, mixed media, digital art, and beyond. More than just a display, this gallery is a gathering place for creativity, where artists can showcase and sell their work while actively contributing to the festival experience.
Selected artists will have the opportunity to engage with the community throughout the weekend—whether by displaying finished pieces, painting live, or creating in-the-moment works inspired by the energy of Wicked Woods. This dynamic space is for artists who want to immerse themselves in the festival, sharing their process, passion, and vision with others.

Large-scale, statement-making murals turn Wicked Woods into a living art gallery. We are looking for muralists with bold concepts that fit the festival’s immersive environment.

We welcome interactive, large-scale, and light-based installations that invite festival-goers to step into another world. If it glows, moves, or transforms a space, we want to see it.
THE WOODLAND LEGACY PROJECT: WICKED WOODS INDIGENOUS ARTS FUND
Wicked Woods is proud to introduce The Woodland Legacy Project, a new initiative created to support Indigenous artists in developing large-scale visual, sculptural, and installation-based works for the 2025 festival.
This fund offers between $500 and $1,500 in project funding, along with early access to the festival site, artist passes, and the opportunity to leave a lasting creative presence in the Woods we gather in each year.
Whether this is your first time working on a large-scale piece or you’re an experienced installation artist, we welcome you to share your voice, your vision, and your artistic legacy in the heart of the Woods.

A new funding initiative from Wicked Woods that offers support to Indigenous artists to create immersive visual works for the 2025 festival. This could include murals, sculptures, installations, or digital/interactive pieces.

Artists who identify as First Nations, Métis, Inuit, or Indigenous. All experience levels are welcome to apply. Preference will be given to applicants from the Kootenay region and neighbouring communities, however we encourage anyone who is interested to apply.

We are looking for large-scale, visual, or installation-based works that can be displayed outdoors during the festival. These projects should feel connected to nature, culture, and storytelling, and be suitable for outdoor presentation.
Note: We are not accepting performance-based work for this fund. -
Artists may request between $500 and $1,500, based on the scale and needs of their project. We expect to select 2 to 4 recipients in 2025 and have allocated $2000 for funding.

1 Guest Pass to Wicked Woods 2025 (optional: for assistant access)
Early access to the festival grounds for project setup (including for one assistant)
Optional access to power and materials (e.g., plywood for mural backings, if requested in advance)
2 Meals / Day during Showtime Operations (Friday - Sunday)
Opportunity to leave your project on-site as a permanent installation

Wicked Woods takes place in Fairmont Hot Springs, BC, on the unceded traditional territory of the Ktunaxa Nation, hosted on the lands of the ʔakisq̓nuk First Nation.

At Wicked Woods, we believe that diversity is the essence of a truly transformative experience. We are committed to curating a lineup that showcases the best of both international and regional talent, while prioritizing the inclusion of local and Indigenous artists.
Through a dynamic blend of sounds and styles, we create a musical journey that resonates deeply with our community. Due to high demand, only a select number of applicants will be approved for 2025. We are grateful for every application and maintain a record for future consideration!

Vendor Applications
Join our vibrant Vendor Market and become part of the magic at Wicked Woods! This carefully curated marketplace showcases craftsmanship, creativity, and exceptional service. We’re looking for passionate vendors offering a variety of food, services, and artisan goods that elevate the festival experience. Our Vendor Village will be open from Thursday, August 28th, to Monday, September 1st.

Every festival tells a story, and through your lens, you have the power to preserve the fleeting magic of the moment. From the first note of a set to the final sunrise, we’re looking for photographers and videographers who can bring the festival to life with their unique perspectives.
