Applications for the 2026 festival are now closed. Performer and workshop applications for the 2027 season are expected to open early next year.

We kindly ask that you do not inquire about performance opportunities through this email. All performer and workshop submissions are only accepted through our official application forms during the open application period.

At Wicked Woods, we believe that diversity is the essence of a truly transformative experience. We are committed to curating a lineup that showcases the best of both international and regional talent, while prioritizing the inclusion of local and Indigenous artists.

Through a dynamic blend of sounds and styles, we create a musical journey that resonates deeply with our community. Due to high demand, only a select number of applicants will be approved for 2026. We are grateful for every application and maintain a record for future consideration!

Performance Applications

Creative performance adds dimension to the festival experience, transforming sound into motion and spaces into living scenes. From dance, gogo, and aerial arts to flow, LED, and fire performance, we celebrate artists who transform space into experience and bring the unseen to life.

We are deeply committed to diversity, expression, and community. Our programming prioritizes a balance of regional talent, emerging creatives, and established performers, with meaningful space held for local and Indigenous artists. Each performance is carefully curated to complement the environment, the music, and the collective journey of our audience.

Due to the high volume of submissions, only a select number of creative performance applicants will be approved for the 2026 season. We are endlessly grateful to the artists who share their craft with us and help shape the spirit of Wicked Woods.

Art Applications

We are searching for visionary artists to help transform the festival into an immersive, interactive world of creativity. From large-scale murals to glowing installations, live painting, and gallery exhibitions, this is your chance to leave your mark on the Woods.

  • The Aurora Gallery is a curated exhibition space celebrating visual artists across all disciplines; painting, photography, mixed media, digital art, and beyond. More than just a display, this gallery is a gathering place for creativity, where artists can showcase and sell their work while actively contributing to the festival experience.

    Selected artists will have the opportunity to engage with the community throughout the weekend. Whether by displaying finished pieces, painting live, or creating in-the-moment works inspired by the energy of Wicked Woods. This dynamic space is for artists who want to immerse themselves in the festival, sharing their process, passion, and vision with others.

  • Large-scale, statement-making murals turn Wicked Woods into a living art gallery. We are looking for muralists with bold concepts that fit the festival’s immersive environment.

  • We welcome interactive, large-scale, and light-based installations that invite festival-goers to step into another world. If it glows, moves, or transforms a space, we want to see it.

Woodland Legacy Art Fund

Supporting Indigenous Creativity at Wicked Woods

Wicked Woods is proud to continue the Woodland Legacy Art Fund in 2026, an initiative created in partnership with the Why Wait Arts Society to support Indigenous artists in developing large-scale visual, sculptural, and installation-based works for the festival.

Following a successful inaugural year, we are excited to build on the program's momentum and continue investing in Indigenous creativity, cultural expression, and storytelling within our festival community.

The fund provides between $500 and $1,500 in project funding, along with artist passes, early access to the festival site for installation, and the opportunity to contribute meaningful artwork to the landscape of Wicked Woods.

Whether this is your first large-scale installation or you are an experienced artist, we welcome you to share your vision, your story, and your creativity with our community.

Woodland legacy art fund Application is now closed for the 2026 season.

  • The Woodland Legacy Art Fund is a funding initiative from Wicked Woods and the Why Wait Arts Society that supports Indigenous artists in creating immersive visual works for the festival.

    Projects may include:

    • Sculptures
    • Murals
    • Environmental or nature-based installations
    • Interactive or mixed-media works
    • Visual storytelling projects
    • Permanent or semi-permanent artistic features

    The goal of the fund is to support meaningful artistic contributions that enrich the festival experience while celebrating Indigenous creativity, culture, and connection to place.

    Selected artists will have the opportunity to engage with the community throughout the weekend. Whether by displaying finished pieces, painting live, or creating in-the-moment works inspired by the energy of Wicked Woods. This dynamic space is for artists who want to immerse themselves in the festival, sharing their process, passion, and vision with others.

  • Artists who identify as First Nations, Métis, Inuit, or Indigenous are eligible to apply.

    Artists of all experience levels are encouraged to submit proposals. Whether you are creating your first large-scale installation or have exhibited work for many years, we welcome your application.

    Preference may be given to applicants from British Columbia and neighbouring regions; however, applications are welcomed from Indigenous artists across Canada.

  • We are seeking visual, sculptural, and installation-based works that can be safely displayed outdoors during the festival.

    Projects should demonstrate creativity, cultural significance, storytelling, community connection, or a meaningful relationship to nature and the surrounding landscape.

    Please note that performance-based projects are not eligible for this fund.

  • Selected artists may request between $500 and $1,500 based on the scope and needs of their project.

    We anticipate supporting 1 to 4 projects through the 2026 program.

  • • Funding between $500 and $1,500

    • One Artist Pass to Wicked Woods 2026

    • One Guest Pass for an assistant or support person (optional)

    • Early access to the festival grounds for installation and project setup

    • Site support and coordination from the Wicked Woods team

    • Limited access to power and select materials if requested and approved in advance

    • Meals during festival operations for participating artists

    • Opportunity for approved projects to remain on-site as part of the evolving artistic legacy of Wicked Woods

  • Wicked Woods takes place in Fairmont Hot Springs, British Columbia, on the unceded traditional territory of the Ktunaxa Nation and is hosted on the lands of the ʔakisq̓nuk First Nation.

Whether you’re leading a high-energy dance session or guiding a reflective meditation, we invite you to bring your expertise and passion to our community.

    Movement workshops may include:

    • Meditation and mindfulness

    • Sound healing and breathwork

    • Wellness, self-care, and personal development

Workshops are a pillar of the Wicked Woods experience, offering attendees a chance to explore new skills, perspectives, and forms of self-expression. We are deeply grateful to the facilitators who bring their wisdom, energy, and creativity to the Woods, shaping a space for growth and connection.

Some moments deserve to be remembered forever. The way the lights dance through the trees, the pulse of the crowd, the electric connection between an artist and the audience. This is Wicked Woods, and we need creators like you to help capture it.

Every festival tells a story, and through your lens, you have the power to preserve the fleeting magic of the moment. From the first note of a set to the final sunrise, we’re looking for photographers and videographers who can bring the festival to life with their unique perspectives.

Join a media team made up of seasoned professionals and fresh creative voices, learn from industry pros, and immerse yourself in one of the most visually stunning festival landscapes. If you have a passion for storytelling, festival culture, and capturing the unexpected, we want to see your vision.

Vendor Applications

Join our vibrant Vendor Market and become part of the magic at Wicked Woods! This carefully curated marketplace showcases craftsmanship, creativity, and exceptional service. We’re looking for passionate vendors offering a variety of food, services, and artisan goods that elevate the festival experience. Our Vendor Market will be open from Thursday, Sept 3rd to Monday, September 7th.

  • Showcase your beautifully made, one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry, textiles, ceramics, sustainable fashion, home goods, and more.

  • Provide services that nourish, inspire, and elevate the festival experience! We welcome vendors offering bodywork, tarot readings, face painting, henna, holistic wellness, and other unique offerings that bring creativity and connection to Wicked Woods.
